To kick off its announcement of strategic changes at Marquette Companies and Marquette Management, Trevor Ryan, promoted to president of Marquette Companies, sat down with Crain’s Chicago Business to talk about the reorganization of its senior leadership team – including Jim Cunningham being named president of Marquette Management and Jason Tennenbaum joining Marquette Companies as CFO. Ryan shared with Crain’s how the changes position the company for continued growth and innovation in the evolving multifamily market.

Tapping into his more than 20 years of experience at Marquette, Ryan now focuses on overall organizational strategy, leveraging his expertise in portfolio strategy and identifying key investment opportunities. Cunningham leads the company’s property management operations, continuing his nearly 15-year track record of accelerating the firm’s growth, particularly through the adoption of artificial intelligence and other technologies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiencies. As CFO, Tennenbaum, a 20-year veteran in real estate investment and financial strategy, oversees day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, investor relations, debt and equity structuring, and fund management.

Ryan represents the second generation of leadership at Marquette — his father, Nick Ryan, founded Marquette in 1983 and served as its CEO. Nick Ryan continues in his role as executive chairman at the firm.
